Intermittent Service Issue Update

The intermittent service issue from yesterday was resolved quickly, however we are keeping a close eye on that server, and have been working closely with Microsoft. Should another problem with that server arise, we have several plans in place to further diagnose the root cause of the issue, and also plans, if necessary, to redirect the affected inbound traffic through other servers, which would mitigate the issue from the customer’s point of view.

This issue was affecting a portion of our customers, and resulted in loss of SMTP connectivity several times throughout the day on Friday, for one minute or less in most cases. There was no data loss, and any message that was successfully relayed to our servers, was received and processed normally.
